If you're a candidate

What we collect: what you type into an application or interview — your name, email, country, salary expectation, experience, tools, scenario answers, work sample, and — as the final step — a short intro video you record in the browser. That's it. We don't ask for government IDs, bank details, or your address, and you should refuse if anyone claiming to be us ever does.

Who sees it: our own reviewers, an AI screening system that scores your answers against the role, and — only if you're shortlisted — the specific hiring company you're being presented to. Nobody else. We don't sell candidate data, we don't share it with other agencies, and we don't add you to marketing lists.

Your intro video: the recording is shown to our reviewers and to hiring companies considering you, alongside the rest of your application; its audio is transcribed so spoken English can be assessed under the same published rubric. Re-record it any time from your status page; ask and we delete it like everything else.

Interviews: when a company wants to meet you, the meeting runs on our own interview page in your browser. We store the booking (time, who with, the outcome) — the call itself is not recorded by us.

About the AI: your answers are scored by an AI system, and a human reviews every candidate who reaches the shortlist stage — a machine score alone never ends your application at the final step. If you'd like to know why you were screened out, ask us and we'll tell you.

Monthly check-ins: if you're placed and your employer subscribes to our Success Plan, we'll ask you monthly how the job is going. Those answers are confidential from your employer — we surface patterns and problems, never your verbatim words.

If you're a hiring company

We hold your contact details and the role brief you submit. We use them to run your search and to write the job listing candidates see; the listing shows the role and requirements, not your identity, unless you ask otherwise. We don't sell your data or share it with other providers.

How long we keep things

Applications stay in our system for 24 months so we can consider you for future roles, then are deleted. Search records and placement history are kept while a business relationship exists, and up to seven years after where record-keeping requires it. Ask us to delete sooner and we will.

Your choices

Email hello@rolemote.com from the address you applied with and we will, within 30 days: send you a copy of everything we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it entirely. No forms, no runaround. Deleting your data means we can't consider you for future roles — that's the only catch, and it's your call.

The boring but true parts

Data lives on servers we control, transmitted over encrypted connections, with access limited to people who need it. We use a small number of processors to operate: hosting, our database, and an email provider. We don't run advertising trackers or third-party analytics pixels on this site. If we ever suffer a breach affecting your information, we'll tell you what happened and what to do about it — and we'll tell you fast.
